Overview
Noticing low engagement in their peer-support networks, the team at the Climate Risk Institute concluded that, instead of trying to convince members to engage and support each other, they needed to develop a new approach that reduced the burden on members while increasing the value of their membership.
Previously, members of the CRI peer support networks relied on legacy systems like forums to connect with other professionals. However, these systems were clunky and difficult to use, and members needed to be more engaged. The CRI team wanted to create a new platform to make it easier for members to connect and share their knowledge and experiences.
To deliver this, we developed a community management strategy. We helped CRI leverage EarthNet, our online community platform for cleantech and sustainability professionals, to create a set of processes that made it easier for CRI staff to manage the community and more straightforward for members to connect with other members.
The next phase is to expand the program to offer more Ai-powered supports and training, and better integrate projects and organizations.
